The Netherlands is bracing for a stretch of hot and sunny weather through Friday, as inland temperatures are expected to soar above 30°C before shifting to more turbulent conditions with thunderstorms later in the day. Thursday is predicted to offer widespread sunshine, with temperatures peaking at around 27°C, setting the stage for even warmer conditions on Friday.

On Friday, inland regions are likely to experience sweltering temperatures ranging from 30°C to 33°C. Meanwhile, a cooling sea breeze will keep coastal areas more temperate. However, weather experts caution that Friday afternoon could bring abrupt changes as thunderstorms are anticipated to sweep into the southern part of the country. These storms could be accompanied by heavy rain, hail, and strong wind gusts.

In response to the potential for severe weather, a yellow weather warning has been issued for the provinces of Noord-Brabant, Gelderland, and Limburg, effective from 5 p.m. on Friday. Residents in these areas are advised to stay vigilant as conditions could deteriorate rapidly.

The weekend is expected to maintain the warm trend, especially in inland areas where temperatures will likely range from 25°C to 28°C on Saturday. However, those heading to the coast can expect cooler weather. As the weekend progresses, cloud cover is set to increase on Sunday, bringing with it a chance of showers.

Looking ahead to next week, the forecast suggests a shift to more unsettled weather, with a higher likelihood of rain and showers as the days progress. Temperatures are expected to dip, with average daytime highs falling below 20°C, marking a noticeable change from the current warm spell.
